Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders (OAMR)

The Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders (OAMR), established in 1983, is a voluntary association of recorders or deputy or assistant recorders of any Oregon city, county, regional government, district or other municipality. The OAMR is closely affiliated with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC). The purpose of the association is: "To provide educational experiences of the highest quality for the recorder, and to promote professionalism."

The OAMR holds an annual business meeting in September and a business meeting at the League's Annual Conference. In addition, OAMR encourages each of the Regional Directors to hold two additional meetings within their regions each year. The OAMR supports the IIMC's "certified municipal clerk" achievement program by hosting two IIMC accredited Academy sessions for advanced professional education during the year. The OAMR publishes a quarterly newsletter. The OAMR has published a records management manual and retention schedule as well as a manual on city recorders' duties.

The OAMR has their own web site at www.oamr.org.
